Brian Labra Vergara is an entrepreneurial artist raised in Denver, CO and studied Saratoga Springs, NY. His disciplines vary from graphic design, photography, painting and documentary media because of his passion and dedication to the realm of creativity.
Brian is also the founder of The Artkive, marketing firm whose goal is to support the creative practice, story, and business of entrepreneurial artists through narrative storytelling and media engagement. He realized how far the bridge between the worlds of business and studio art are during his studies at Skidmore College and gathered a squad of creatives, friends & artists to help curate a living archive of non-fiction stories to spotlight their artist entrepreneurial work
Brian has had the honor to work with some of his closest friends and colleagues who practices entrepreneurship, photography, business development, documentary film, performing arts, music and production. His personality and drive for art fuel inspire whenever he works on his creative firm.
Painting
A colorist at heart, BLV develops realms of landscapes invoking images from his life and transforms them into something more. His work has been exhibited at the Tang Teaching Museum and the Denver Art Society. He has praciced oil and acryllic painting for two years and has delved into the study of color theory in order to enlighten his work into new found forms and studies. He plans on working on both a series of paintings as well as painting studies in order to increase his dreamscape works into the tangible forms.
Photographer & Cinematographer
His camera work began in London, UK where BLV first picked up a camera and has been shooting ever since. His imagination creates worlds and colors, landscapes, while capturing documetation of his present reality at the subconcious and embelished world. His photography has earned him a residency at Anderson Ranch Arts Center and his company, The Artkive, has been recognized and participated in the Storytellers Institute.
Graphic Designer
Putting the graphic in design, BLV uses his skills with the principles of desing to create inrtiguing forms of visual communications. Ranging from bands, corporate resources, and creativly directing an arts and culture publication, BLV uses his artistic experince from digital media curate vibrant and alluring infomative posters, social media posts, publication pages and more.
Taste Maker
Collective Creative Curiosity, is what BLV believes are definitions of trendsetters and artists. BLV’s passion and dedication to creativity has ultimately fueled his passion and mission to support entrepreneurial artists by sharing the creative endeavors and personal narratives through his firm, The Artkive, a marketing firm whose goal is to support the creative practice, story, and business of entrepreneurial artists through narrative storytelling and media engagement.
Leader
An affable leader, BLV has taken the riegns to be a leader in various positions. At an early age, learning the importance of leadership from Junior Acheivemnt, he grew as a front runner, taking on difficult challenges facing artists and has become the foudner and host of The Artkive, to support creativity and artists. He uses his experience as a previous Marketing and Management Team Leader & Social Media and Events Coordinator for John B Moore Documentary to help uplift other.
